I went running yesterday morning and decided to run though a local cemetery. When I got to the cemetery I decided to take a break and do some stretching. During the few minutes I was stretching, I looked around at the hundreds and hundreds of tombstones in the ground. Some of them were very elaborate and others were much simpler. It was very quiet and no one else was around.

As I walked around the stones, it made me think about what life is really about all of these people who lived and are no longer with us. Did they live their life to their full potential? It was really neat looking at the different dates on the stones as well. Some were back from the early 1800′s and others were much more recent. Some peoples lives were shorter than others and some lived longer. This made me start to realize that our life could be over much sooner than we might think.

What would happen if you only had 10 years to live? 5 years? 1 year? 1 day? What would you do with your time remaining in your life? Would you take risks you would not usually take? Would you spend more time with your family? Would you live your life to the fullest?

This really made me think about these questions. We really don’t know how long we have to live though. Make make sure you go out there and take risks and have fun in life. I have never heard of anyone on their death bed say they wish they spent more time at the office. It’s usually about the things they did not do it life.

So, my challenge to you is to learn to take risks and step out of your comfort zone. Always live each day like it is you last. One day you will be right. Go out there, have fun, and make life a challenge for greatness.
